Orion tells the story of one year of heartbreak, detailing the complex emotions that follow an earth-shattering breakup. The way Orion Sun articulates pain is tragically beautiful, like in “Already Gone” where she sings “it’s a mile to the front door // took a parachute down to the bottom floor // going outside feels like going off to war”. It’s clear that Orion poured all of herself into this album, and it has resulted in her best work yet.
